Saher Gilani

Head of Education

Saher Gilani’s vision as the Head of Education is to work closely with the Britus Education schools’ senior leadership teams; and to motivate, coach and support the teachers to use inquiry-based teaching and learning, differentiation and assessment in order to make learning meaningful and authentic for their students.

Saher has completed her university education from Scotland, UK. She holds two masters degrees in Education and Curriculum Planning. She has completed a number of certificate courses as an educational leader.

She has worked in the UAE for last sixteen years as a school leader. She has been a Workshop Leader for International Baccalaureate (IB) for last seven years and have trained IB teachers in the Middle East Europe and Asia Pacific regions. She has conducted workshops and trainings for the teachers for differentiation, free and guided inquiry; and the formative assessment of skills, concepts and attitudes. She has also organized many educational sessions for parents to make them familiar with the learning styles, growth mindset, differentiation, learning difficulties and assessment.

She considers innovation, inclusion and school improvement the key elements to having a successful school. She specialises in school improvement and has worked with many ‘Weak’ to ‘Acceptable’ schools that reached an inspection ranking of ‘Good’ to ‘Very Good’ due to her leadership, intervention and support.
